Nekromantix

The Ottobar, Baltimore, MD.

G and I drove up to Baltimore with every intention of stopping at Annapolis for dinner, but when time ran short we instead settled for Taco Bell on the road. We then drove past the Inner Harbor to see the Nekromantix at the Ottobar. We had never been there before, so we did a quick scope out of the layout. We then grabbed a drink at the bar and found two stools with an unobstructed view of the stage while we waited. The opening bands, Orange and Time Again (G's new favorite up and coming Punk Band), were great, but the Heart Attacks sucked. Hopefully that will be the last time we have to suffer through them.

Half way during Time Again we had moved off our stools and worked our way up front, so that we were only 2 people from the stage before Nekromantix came on stage. Watching Kim Nekroman play the stand-up bass was amazing. His fingers moved so quickly as he beat the bass it was so cool. It was such a wonderful show and so worth the price of admission. At the end of the show after playing "Gargoyles Over Copenhagen" and "Who killed the Cheerleader?" Wasted James threw some drum sticks into the crowd and G caught one.
