Jaxx
Today we took a more circuitous route to Jaxx. We had to take G's Mom back to his brother's house before we headed to the concert. Once we arrived we decided to try the Afghan restaurant on the other side. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and how reasonable. Will definitively go back there again.
After heading back to the car with our plentiful leftovers, we joined the very short line. As the doors opened up there were only like 25 people even in line. After some quick shopping for a t-shirt for G, we each grabbed a stool from the bar.
So Damn Thirsty and something else I can't remember the name of were our opening bands. We really like So Damn Thirsty. G even added them to his myspace page.
Once Helmet came on we had pushed our way through the non-existent throngs to the very front. There were very few people for this show. Probably the lowest turnout for a concert we had ever attended. Maybe 60 people max, but from the front we had a great view of the band. They played a great set. Songs like Betty and Smart. After they were done, instead of leaving the stage they shook hands with the crowd. Page even gave G a pick. So cool.

Jaxx
Wow Jaxx again. I guess everything is just Jaxx right now. As with last time, Therion was exceptional. Only this time they had 4 singers with them. Two men and two women. One of the women was the lead singer of one of the opening bands.
This was their last stop on their North American tour. So they played their hearts out. They played songs spanning almost their entire catalog. It was truly a very interesting show and a outstanding performance.
