Shout It Loud Tour

July 14, 2007
Rams Head Live, Baltimore, MD

G met me at my house and we drove up to Baltimore, MD. We parked next to Rams Head Live, the concert venue, and then walked down to the Inner Harbor. We had dinner at La Tasca, a Spanish tapas resturant. After dinner we walked back to Rams Head Live and stood in line, where we were able to sell our extra ticket. The doors opened at 6:30 and we headed over to the t-shirt table where we looked over the items and picked out t-shirts. I then stood in line, while G went over to behind the sound area and saved our spaces.

At promptly 6:45 the first band, Against All Authority came on. They were loud and really started the night off well. They were great. A quick change on the set and by 7:30 Streetlight Manifesto was "rocking" the house. The saxaphones were great. Then it was time for the co-headliner Reel Big Fish to play. They were wonderful. The especially loved their "master, master" of all musical genres shtick, where they played the same song in many, many different ways. It was so funny. Then it was time for Less Than Jake. Their set was a game show a la "The Price is Right". They play a set list was random and decide my two audience members that were brought on stage. One did plenko to determine the album "Hello Rockview" and the second was by wheel where it landed on "Losing Streak". They were so much fun and we were all jumping around. G even went into the pit twice. Once during "Look What Happened (The Last Time)" and for the encore which, of course, ended with "Gainesville Rock City". He just got crazy with the masses.

There was a hard curfew of midnight and they had us out by 11:20pm. And we were home by 1:30 after a quick stop at Taco Bell for a "midnight" burrito.
