Rams Head Live, Baltimore, MD.
After our multiple trips up and down to Baltimore, luckily the Les Claypool concert at Rams Head Live coincided with a conference G was attending. So mid day we drove up to the Marriott Waterfront and checked in. We then walked over to the Power Plant district and stopped at Panera Bread along the way for dinner. When we got to Rams Head Live, we were amazed that there was no line, so we just walked directly in after our IDs were checked. There were probably less than 100 patrons inside. Opening act, Two Gallants, started on time and played a 45 minute set. Not bad, but would not buy their CD. Then Les and his crew came on. Oh, it was great. They were so funky and I loved his different looks including, Elvis and a monkey mask. Also his different bass guitars were fun. At the end of the show he mentioned he had broken his pinky finger, therefore the doctor forbid him from playing any "pinky dependent songs" such as "Phantom Patriot". I love the huge "Fancy" banner that hung behind the stage. I so wished I could have gotten one.
